Creating human figures from liquid without making them look artificial is no easy task. The challenge was to find the right balance—keeping the forms distinctly human while maintaining the artistic fluidity of the liquid. Slow-motion footage captured dancers painted black as they moved under streams of water, allowing us to record how it interacted with their bodies and the droplets scattered through the air. After rotoscoping the figures onto 3D models, MPC used RealFlow to shape the liquid within and Flame to seamlessly integrate 2D and 3D elements. Special care was given to the edges, ensuring a smooth, organic transition.
